Aaj hum mobile PCB ke sabse mushkil, sabse complex, aur sabse zyada dimaag kharab karne wale ilake mein ghusenge—Network Section (RF Section). aaj Mobile Network Repair Master Class hone wali hai.
Jab ek dead phone aata hai, toh humein pata hota hai ki Power IC ya CPU check karna hai. Lekin jab ek “No Service” ya “Emergency Calls Only” wala phone aata hai, toh 90% technicians confuse ho jaate hain. Woh bina soche-samjhe WTR par heat maarte hain, fir PA par heat maarte hain, aur ant mein phone dead karke grahak ko wapas de dete hain.
Ek Professional Engineer tukka nahi maarta. Network hawa mein udta hua ek invisible signal hai, aur us signal ko pakadna ek Science hai.
Aaj hum Mobile Network Repair ki master class mein seekhenge:
- Rx (Receive) aur Tx (Transmit) ka logic.
- Manual Search se fault kaise pakdein?
- WTR IC ke voltages (1.0V, 1.8V).
- PA (Amplifier) aur VPH ka connection.
- RFFE Protocol (Jiske baare mein YouTube par koi nahi batata).
Step 1: Baseband & IMEI (Software Diagnosis)
Mobile Network Repair Mastery me Hardware ko chhoone se pehle, sabse pehle yeh confirm karna zaroori hai ki phone ka “Dimaag” (CPU) network section ko pehchan bhi raha hai ya nahi.
- Check IMEI: Dialer mein

- Agar IMEI aa raha hai = Good.
- Agar
Null/0000000/Invalidaa raha hai = Software Fault. (Iske liye pehle IMEI Repair karein – Lesson 44).
- Check Baseband:
Settings > About Phone > All Specsmein jaayein aur “Baseband Version” check karein.
- Condition A: Agar wahan kuch number likha hai (e.g., Q_V1_P14…) = Hardware Fault (Aage badhein).
- Condition B: Agar wahan “Unknown” likha hai = Iska matlab CPU aur Network IC (WTR/SDR) ke beech ka connection toot gaya hai. Yeh aksar CPU Dry Solder hone se hota hai. Is case mein RF IC badalne se kuch nahi hoga, aapko CPU Reball karna padega.
Step 2: The “Manual Search” Logic (Rx vs Tx)
Bina phone khole, sirf settings se yeh pata lagaya ja sakta hai ki kaunsi IC kharab hai.
Test: Phone mein SIM dalein. Settings > Mobile Networks > Operator mein jaakar “Automatically Select Network” ko band karein aur Search Manually karein.

Case 1: Rx Fault (Receiver Kharab) – “Error While Searching”
- Result: Jaise hi aap search par click karte hain, phone turant (1-2 second mein) bol deta hai: “Error while searching for networks”.
- Matlab: Phone tower ki awaaz “Sun” (Receive/Rx) nahi pa raha hai.
- Diagnosis:
- Antenna Switch: Signal board tak pahunch hi nahi raha.
- WTR IC (Transceiver): Yeh IC signal ko receive karke CPU ko deti hai. Agar yeh kharab hai, toh search fail ho jayegi.
- Rx Filter: Raste mein laga Band Filter toot gaya hai.
Case 2: Tx Fault (Transmitter Kharab) – “List Aayi Par Connect Nahi Hua”
- Result: Phone search karta hai, aur list bhi dikhata hai (Jio 4G, Airtel, Vi). Lekin jab aap Jio 4G par click karte hain, toh thodi der ghoomne ke baad kehta hai: “Can’t Connect” ya “Registered Failed”.
- Matlab: Phone ne tower ki baat sun li (Rx OK hai), lekin wapas tower ko “Jawab” (Transmit/Tx) nahi de paya. Tower door hai aur phone ki awaaz wahan tak nahi pahunchi.
- Diagnosis:
- PA IC (Power Amplifier / PFO): Yeh IC signal ko “Boost” karti hai taaki wo tower tak jaaye. Agar yeh kharab hai, toh signal tower tak nahi pahunchega.
- VPH Power: PA ko kaam karne ke liye battery ki poori taqat (3.7V) chahiye. Agar VPH line cut gayi, toh PA kaam nahi karega.
Step 3: Physical Inspection & Antenna Path
Agar Manual Search mein “No Networks Found” aa raha hai (der tak search karne ke baad), toh yeh Connection Break hai.
- Coaxial Cable: Safed ya kaali antenna wire ko check karein. Multimeter se continuity lein.
- Antenna Switch (Connector): Board par jahan wire lagti hai, wahan ek chota sa Testing Connector hota hai. Aksar paani jaane se yeh andar se Open ho jaata hai.
- Fix: Isey hata kar Direct Jumper maar dein.
Step 4: WTR / RF IC Diagnosis (The Heart of Network)
Qualcomm phones mein WTR2965 sabse zyada use hoti hai. Yeh ek Glass IC hai. Phone girne par iske neeche ke balls toot jaate hain.

Voltage Checking (Hot Testing):
Phone ON karein, SIM lagayein. WTR ke aas-paas lage chhote capacitors par 2 voltages check karein:
- 1.0V (Core Voltage): Yeh Power IC se aata hai.
- 1.8V (I/O Voltage): Yeh CPU se communication ke liye hai.
- Result: Agar yeh voltages aa rahe hain, fir bhi “Error Searching” hai, toh WTR Change karein.
- Pro Tip: WTR ko kabhi Reball na karein, seedha Naya lagayein. Yeh bahut nazuk hoti hai.
Step 5: PA (Power Amplifier) & 4G IC Diagnosis

Agar list aa rahi hai par select nahi ho raha, toh PA Section mein jayein.
- Identification: Yeh board ki sabse lambi rectangular (aayatakaar) IC hoti hai. Iske paas bahut saare capacitors hote hain.
- VPH Check: PA ke paas ek bada capacitor dhoondhein aur uspar 3.7V – 4.2V check karein.
- Agar voltage nahi hai = Raste mein lagi Coil/Fuse open hai. Jumper karein.
- APT Voltage: PA ko control karne ke liye Power IC se ek variable voltage (0.5V – 2.5V) aata hai (APT_VCC). Isse bhi check karein.
Shorting Warning: Agar PA IC short ho jaye, toh phone Dead ho jaata hai ya Half Shorting dikhata hai.
Step 6: RFFE Protocol (Advanced Engineering Logic)
Kabhi-kabhi aapne WTR badal di, PA badal diya, software kar diya, fir bhi No Service hai. Kyon?
Kyunki RFFE (RF Front End) line mein fault hai.
- Kya hai RFFE? Yeh CPU aur Network ICs (WTR, PA, Switch) ke beech ki Data Lines (Clock & Data) hain.
- Checking: Schematic Diagram mein RFFE_CLK aur RFFE_DATA lines dhoondhein. In lines par Series Resistors lage hote hain.
- Fault: Agar yeh resistors open ho gaye, toh CPU network section ko command nahi de payega. In resistors ki value check karein aur replace karein.
Step 7: Radio OFF Problem

- Check karein “Mobile Radio Power“.
- Agar yeh OFF hai aur ON karne par bhi wapas OFF ho jaata hai, toh yeh 100% Hardware Fault hai (WTR ya CPU dry solder).
